We are at war

The corperation Gangland Unicorns has declared war on us. I am new to Pew Pew but from what I can tell there is no real reason for this war but we are at war none the less. I bought a cheap Incursus for war. I'm watching the matainacne bots fitting her for war from my captains quarters as I record this log. Once They are done with my fitting I will be head out to join the fleet. This will be my first experience with fleet warfare I really am hoping it it goes well.

A horrible feeling

I had a horrible feeling as I walked in to my agents office this morning. After talking with my agent Mau the only mission he had for me seem simple even tho it was in low sec space. The mission was a simple recon of a deadspace pocket in Oulley.  The feeling that this mission was going to go horribly wrong haunted me as I prepared my vexor for launch. My arrival in Oulley was uneventful so I proceeded to the deadspace site. When I first warped in there was nothing there. The gate to the next area was quite a ways off so i set course for it just wanting to get this mission over whit.. About half way to the gate my sensor were going nuts, Serpentis pirates were warping in all around me. before I could react my shields were down and my armor was taking a good beating. I started up my armor repair module but to no avail the sound of hull breach alarms made it clear the vexor was going down. I signaled for the rest of the crew to evacuate and rushed to my pod. I barely cleared the explosion in my pod. before they could lock on to my pod I quickly warped out and limped back to Osmeden. With the loss of my ship I was unable to complete the mission. Having nearly lost my life a few times I have decided to take a less dangerous path for the time being and get my prospecting certification.

Osmeden Locals

While in Jita I was contacted by a fellow capsuleer. Valrandir also has some colonies in Osmeden, I do not know what planets they are on or what he is producing. He has extended his hand in friendship. This is a great relief in this unforgiving universe. Valrandir is a much more experienced than I am and I'm sure to learn a lot from him.

There are usually 30 capsuleers in Osmeden, Other than Valrandir none of them seem very friendly but at least they aren't hostile. I do wish the local comm channels were a bit more active. I've com to realize that almost no one in this universe is willing to help any one other than themselves. I know this isn't uncommon but other than the members of Pew Pew Inc and Valrandir no one has offered to help me, When I was looking for a colony site I asked who had colonies in Osmeden no one responded to me and Valrandir only contacted me after I had set up my colony.

Speaking of my colony, Both my colonial government and some members of my corp believe that producing Test cultures would be profitable. I have provided the funding for  a new possessor to turn the bacteria and water in to test cultures for export of planet. My colony is thriving it looks like I'm not as bad at finding descent locations for a colony. The only complaint from the colonial government is that the resources to manufacture my test cultures is to far from the colony. I tried to avoid this but the microorganisms and aqueous liquids were not located extremely close to each other or the other resources need for colonial development. I was more concerned about the life of my colonists than my personal profit and if it takes a bit longer to retrieve my materials I don't mind

Colonizing Osmeden

I began the colonization of the barren planet Osmeden II today. Locating the proper place to found my colony was rather difficult. With the colony on Osmeden II being my first I really don't know what a colony needs to survive. I do believe the location is good for colony survival and what I require. They are manufacturing bacteria and water for me. I have thought about having them produce test cultures fr me eventually but if they are not in demand they want be a profitable to export of planet. After I am sure my colony is settled and they have begun production I will be taking a trip to Jita to see what resources are in demand. 

I have also finished my cruiser training and I'm flying a Vexor. My Vexor is brand new it has yet to be named. Along with my cruiser license I have gotten a new contact higher up in the federation navy, Mau Aginnault. He has harder more profitable assignments for me. There is one down side to this though he is sending deeper in to hostile territory. This would not be an issue if there were not quite a few pirates patrolling the Low Sec systems near me.

My first days as a Capsuleer

It has only been a few days since I became a capsuleer and quite a lot has happened already.  Becoming a capsuleer is a great opportunity for a member of the Jing Ko caste like myself. I will finally have the chance to make a name for myself.

The Federal Navy Academy was the first step in this journey. That is where I received my Pilot Certification as well as basic certifications in drone control, armor tanking, core competency, and colony management. Upon graduating I was posted to Osmeden and was presented with a Federation Navy Comet by my brother as congratulations. Soon after being stationed at the navy facility I began my search for a corporation to join, My search didn't last long.  One of the first corps I looked in to was Pew Pew Inc. they seemed like a good fit for me so I applied to join. They promptly accepted me and they turned out to be just as advertised, Friendly and willing to help a new pilot.  I am sure to enjoy my time with them.
